We were very pleased to accept Layla the Miniature Schnauzer for one night this weekend. At only 9 months old, she was exceptionally well behaved and a pleasure to accommodate. We went for long walks along Sturt gorge picking up lots of interesting scents and had great fun in the garden playing with many of her toys.
Schnauzers come in three different sizes, miniature, standard and giant. Originating in Germany the Miniature Schnauzer was bred for ratting and guarding. Their coat doesn't shed so they need trimming every 6 weeks and regular grooming to avoid matting. You should always check for little prickles after walks out as they often catch and hold into their hair, these not only feel uncomfortable for you pet but they can cause infections if you don't get them out as soon as you find them, as they can bury into the skin.
To finish, a little bit about their temperament and characteristics. They are smart, well balanced, stylish and adaptable. They are alert, reliable and intelligent, a great watchdog and companion.
Yeah, we love Miniature Schnauzers!
Thanks for reading.

Thanks to K9 Walkers for looking after our dog sooo well. We could tell how much she enjoyed her stay with Kath by her demeanour when we came to collect her. She was very well looked after (and we’re fussy about our dog!!) and we will be more than happy to have her stay here again.....and again.
Thanks Kath, great job
